Privacy Policy

Account data: your name, email address, and — if you sign in with Google — the basic profile Google returns. If you set a password, we store only a secure hash of it, never the password itself.

Content you create: the resumes, cover letters, and versions you build, and the job descriptions you paste to tailor against. This content is yours; we process it to provide the service.

Usage data: AI-credit and export counts used to enforce plan limits, and basic operational logs (including IP address and browser type) used for security and rate limiting.

When you import an existing resume, we never store the uploaded file. We extract its text, hold that text only long enough for the AI to parse it into an editable draft, and delete the text the moment the job reaches a final state — whether it succeeds or fails. The resulting draft becomes a saved resume only when you confirm it.

AI features (bullet and summary generation, rewriting, tailoring, and resume parsing) send the relevant text to our AI providers to generate suggestions. Imported content and job descriptions are treated strictly as data, not instructions, to guard against prompt injection. We do not use your content to train our own models. You review every AI suggestion before it is applied — nothing is changed silently.

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider and merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects and processes your payment details directly; we never see or store your full card number. We receive only the subscription status and billing metadata needed to grant your plan. See Lemon Squeezy’s own privacy notice for how they handle payment data.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run OpusStride — our cloud hosting and storage, our AI providers, our email provider, and Lemon Squeezy for billing — each under contract and only to the extent needed to deliver the service. (The specific list of sub-processors is maintained for the launch review.)

We keep your account data and content for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone. Deletion is permanent: we purge your exported files from storage, cancel any active subscription immediately, and delete your account together with every resume, cover letter, and version tied to it. There is no soft-delete or recovery window.

You can access and update your profile in Settings, and export a full copy of your data (profile, documents, versions, subscription, and usage) as a JSON file at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, port, or erase your personal data; contact us to exercise them.
